How We Started

At Koyo, we are passionate believers in the power of stories. After all, without words, we would have been a bunch of primates hitting sticks and stones. And the influence of narratives has only increased with time. And with the massive media leverage today, the fight for attention has got more intense.

You know this already. Yet there’s one area where it can help your business massively, yet you don’t use it at all. And that doesn’t sit right with us.

That’s how Koyo began: An attempt to help organizations and professionals assemble the best team possible, by helping them create authentic and expressive stories.

About us

Why we Believe it’s Important

Well, let me give you some context for this. We worked at large international organizations (Bain, BCG and Microsoft) before we began working on Koyo.

Now all these organizations are huge and massively respected. They could put up a job opening and thousands would apply. They don’t need to do anything to attract and convert job seekers, right?

Well, it turns out, that all the biggest global organizations (consulting firms, big tech, Consumer good conglomerates like P&G, Nestle, etc.) also invest huge resources in various initiatives, like Career fair, online advertisements, etc. In fact a “buddy process” is a critical part when you are interviewing with consulting firms. It often serves as an avenue for a firm to exert “soft” influence over candidates.

You would think that these are the largest, oldest and most prestigious organizations globally, they don’t need to do all this “sales and marketing” stuff at all. Yet they do. and heavily.

This rigs the “hiring” game heavily, against you.

You are also doing great work, but you’re likely not “selling” your work and culture as well as these large organizations are. Doing it requires time, effort and specialized creative input.

And you have a company to run, let’s not forget that.

We aim to make the game easy for you.
